What Is The Opportunity?
Reporting to the General Superintendent, Foundations, the Yard Foreperson, Foundations will be responsible for the support and oversight of the Yard operations as well as the participation and support of the EHS programs.
What You Bring to the Team?
• Supervision of all activities, as well as maintain and organization of the Scugog, Ontario Yard
• Work with onsite project teams and the Tooling and Equipment Coordinator for tracking/ transfers/ repairs of drill tooling, casing and accessories
• Assist with tooling/ casing transferred between projects/ yards are documented, with pre-ship & arrival condition inspections
• Scugog Yard – assist with tracking in/ out of shipments. Assist with setup/ maintenance of Yard including sea cans, inventory and consumables
• Operating loader to load/ offload truck(s) of tooling and piling items; secure loaded tooling as per procedure; keep yard organized and maintained
• Although role is based out of the Scugog Yard, this position will travel to other projects throughout Ontario.
Will be responsible for EHS related activities:
• Participating in the site EHS program as directed including conducting workplace inspections; Safety Inspections; Conducting behavioral observation in the workplace; Distribution of safety material supplies and equipment
• Ensuring EHS safety practices and procedures are observed and followed, such as daily safety documents
• Other relevant duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Team:
• 10 years of construction industry experience. Piling experience is an asset.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment with competency to operate loaders & skid steers
• Complete equipment inspection prior to operating yard equipment such as loader.
• Assist with loading and unloading drill tools, casing materials and/ or equipment in a safe manner.
• Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
• Willing and able to work outdoors, while comfortable working in all weather conditions
• Valid driver's license.
