Reporting to the Operations Director, the Operations (In-Home Services) General Manager, will be responsible for the operational and financial performance of designated regions.

 

What You’ll Do Here:

 

  • Responsible for the financial performance of designated regions including the development of the annual business plan for each region and the ongoing management of financial performance to ensure business plans targets are being met.
  • Provides overall direction to designated regions to ensure that bidding strategy is implemented to optimize revenue and margin to meet divisional targets.
  • Provides direction to designated regions regarding divisional and corporate Strategic Plan, ongoing strategy, and policies.
  • Reports issues to VP/Director regarding financial performance, workload status, potential legal issues, and potential opportunities.
  • Resolves project-level legal disputes.
  • Puts in place a management team with clearly defined responsibilities covering all aspects of the operation.
  • Prepares staff development and succession plans for key positions in the department.
  • Approves all expenditures and proposal pricing within limits of authority.
  • Maintains personal contact with major clients and contractors.
  • Ensures that all activity in the designated regions is consistent with corporate and divisional strategic plans, business plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Supervises Managers and Supervisions crews in the designated region.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.

 

What You Bring to the Team:

 

  • A minimum of 15 years of construction and or Telecom experience in the Utility Contracting Industry.
  • Completion of an accredited four-year university program with a specific focus on business, construction, or civil engineering. or equivalent experience
  • Portfolio of completed projects consistent with current and future construction programs.
  • Demonstrate ability to evaluate employees and deployment of field resources on projects of various size and complexity as projects demand.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the financial performance of a business unit.
  • Project Management Expertise.
  • Highly developed communication skills, in both English and French both written and oral with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with public officials, Board of Directors, subordinates, peers, and the public.
  • Demonstrated ability to use sound business judgment and proven leadership for people of all levels.
  • Ability to plan, review, assign and evaluate the work of subordinate managers.
  • Be a champion of inclusion and diversity.

 

The expected pay range for this position is: $120, 000 to $140, 000
