Position Title:  Pre/Post Inspector

Reporting to the Regional Operationss Manager, the Pre/Post Inspector will be responsible for ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures as specified in Topps and all Quality Manuals. The Pre/Post Inspector shall pre-field assigned work for do-ability, identify, document and track roadblocks, prep job scope for quoting, performs quality audits as well as identify, document and review non-conformances with the Operations and Coordination team. This position is based in Vancouver Island.

 

Key Responsibilities    

  • Performs pre-field audits of assigned job packages
  • Performs post-build quality inspections in accordance with program specifications.
  • Inspects completed work to determine it complies with the program specifications.
  • Assisting with the implementation and maintains of pre-field and quality programs.
  • Assists with the preparation and verification of various technical reports.
  • Identifies and reports work that does not meet the quality requirements.
  • Collaborates with the construction operations/coordination and project managers and sub-contractors managers to determine approaches & methods to improve the overall quality of work.
  • Follows up and maintains pre/post inspections records.
  • Completes all associated documentation and forms for individual inspection.
  • Participates in the development and maintenance of a cost of pre-field and quality tracking systems.
  • Assists with the tracking of non-conformance reports and corrective/ preventative action requests.

 

Required Knowledge and Experience  

  • Telecommunications outside plant design or construction experience required.
  • Proficient with the use of computers and software, particularly MS Office suite of applications.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Effective team player.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adaptable to change.
  • Previous field management, technical and/or quality assurance experience is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license.
