What Is The Opportunity?
Aecon is gearing up for new and upcoming civil projects in Washington, and we’re expanding our team. What You’ll Do Here:
- Maintain and review computerized records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance and inventories.
- Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and the supplier’s reputation and history.
- Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and determine needs for changes.
- Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services.
- Monitor shipments to ensure goods come in on time and resolve problems related to undelivered goods.
- Prepare/issue Request for Proposals (RFP’s) and evaluate vendor/subcontractor proposals to identify vendors/subcontractors who meet project constraints of budget and schedule at the estimating, execution and site purchasing levels.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, construction management or related degree preferred.
- 1-3 years’ experience in an engineering and/or construction related role preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel).
- General knowledge of database utilization.
- Basic knowledge of all areas of procurement, including procurement execution, estimating, expediting, and site purchasing preferred.
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
- Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
Salary Range - $80,000 - $100,000 per annum USD
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
