The ALARA Manager, reporting the Project Director, will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and reviewing ALARA performance records and plans.

What You'll Do Here 

 

  • Develop dose estimates for Fuel Channel and Feeder Replacement (FCFR) work series.
  • Development and documentation of radiological work planning including ALARA Plans.
  • Develop and maintain dose expenditure & ALARA performance records.
  • Perform radiation shielding calculations and develop basic computer models to assess hazard profiles.
  • Coordinate with Training Department to provide ALARA training as required.
  • Prepare reports for work in progress and post ALARA review.
  • Manage all scope decontamination technicians
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 What You Bring To The Team

 

  • At least 5 years’ experience in radiation protection, health physics, radiation physics, or related fields.
  • Undergraduate degree in Science, Engineering, or Health Physics.
  • Past Life Extension experience in design and/or on-site radiation protection support.
  • BWR Commercial Nuclear preferred
  • Must have effective communication skills, be a good team player, and be effective in managing parallel work activities and short timeline deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of rad waste shipping plans developed with the client
