Reporting to the Project Manager, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting project coordination and operational activities to ensure efficient and safe execution of Aecon projects.
What you will do here
- Assist with data collection and project analysis to support operational decisions.
- Help schedule work crews and coordinate site activities.
- Perform site previews and inspections as needed for project readiness.
- Support inventory management and procurement of specialty materials/tools.
- Assist with tool maintenance, certification, and tracking.
- Monitor equipment status and prepare weekly utilization reports.
- Track and maintain worker training records for compliance.
- Support safety initiatives by ensuring inspections and reporting align with Aecon’s Health & Safety standards.
- Help review and summarize Quality Assurance non-conformances and follow-up actions.
- Maintain organized yard facilities and assist with material handling and documentation.
- Generate reports and assist with data analysis to improve operational efficiency.
- Deliver rush materials/tools to crews as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Water/Sewer team.
What you Bring to the team
- Currently enrolled in a Civil or Construction Technology/Technician program.
- Interest in utility construction and infrastructure projects.
- Strong computer skills (MS Excel, Word; MS Project an asset).
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written.
- Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license.
