Reporting to the Manager Operations, the Project Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of all tasks assigned to them, including running proposals (including interfacing with various Aecon functional groups) etc.
What You'll do here:

Collaborate with Senior Management, Operations, and Estimating teams in the preparation of construction and design estimates, as well as proposal and tender submissions.Lead project execution activities, establishing project schedules, critical milestones, and key deliverables.

Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and resources throughout the project lifecycle.

Resolve project-level issues and disputes, escalating matters to senior leadership as required.

Set performance targets and monitor progress to ensure project objectives are achieved.

Identify risks, adapt to changing priorities, and remove obstacles that may impact project success.

Provide leadership, direction, and performance management to project teams.

Manage commercial matters and promote collaborative, mutually beneficial outcomes with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

Administer contracts, negotiate agreements, and manage contract changes and disputes.

Monitor project budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and financial performance.

Facilitate regular project review and scheduling meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Provide technical expertise and support to project teams, field staff, and clients as required.Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards and company procedures.
- Travel to project sites as required.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain effective project controls, including:
- Schedule management
- Cost forecasting and reporting
- Change management
- Subcontractor management
- Document control
- Labour and productivity tracking
- KPI reporting
- Equipment tracking
- Accrual management
- Procurement and purchase orders
- Invoicing and financial reporting
What You Bring to the Team:

Minimum of 8 years of experience managing construction, infrastructure, utility, transportation, industrial, or civil projects.

Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proven experience managing projects from planning and execution through to closeout.

Strong understanding of project controls, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and contract administration.

Experience with estimating, proposals, and tender submissions is considered an asset.

Experience working under EPC, EPCM, Design-Build, or similar project delivery models is an asset.

Strong understanding of construction practices, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Demonstrated leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to effectively resolve project issues and disputes with minimal supervision.

Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other project management software is considered an asset.

Ability to travel to project locations and work flexible hours as required by project demands.
Reason for Vacancy: New
Pay Range: $85,000 - 120,000.
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
