Position Overview

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Locates Administrator will be responsible for administering and coordinating Sewer Lateral Locates, timely and accurate processing of time entry and Teldig updates while providing strong customer and field staff support. This position will be located in Stoufville, Scarborough or Brelau. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Create locate packages by using Aecon’s Sharepoint site and track progression and milestones
  • Issue locate requests through TELDIG to our field staff and track to completion.
  • Ensure all locate requests are validated and kept up to date.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Create and populate daily and weekly reports indicating locate status.
  • Create, manage, and distribute documentation and correspondence as required.
  • Communicate sensitive and confidential information to senior management and/or external sources.
  • Maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive data.
  • Maintains an organized filing system on site. 
  • Create employee and equipment schedules in FOS.
  • Review time sheets in FOS for accuracy, completion, and authorization in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure accurate coding of employee’s hours and equipment hours.
  • Provide support to employees where required on all time entry matters, including FOS.
  • Collect billing data from the field to accurately invoice the customer
  • Create and populate daily and weekly reports indicating equipment status.
  • Responding and redirecting any payroll inquiries to the appropriate contact.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.


Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong customer service orientation and demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to communicate information and clarify requirements both orally and in writing clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-client environment with ability to apply various client-specific business processes to individual service request situations.
  • Work with a sense of urgency by demonstrating the ability to shift priorities to accomplish objectives.
  • Effectively manage time to keep commitments to both internal and external clients.
  • Knowledge of TELDIG or LAC Multiviewer
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (MS work, MS Excel, MS Outlook).
  • AutoCAD knowledge is an asset.
  • FOS knowledge is an asset.
  • Must be highly organized, attentive to detail and able to multi-task.
  • Lifting, filing.
  • Ability and willingness to work long hours when required.
  • Repetitive movement (data entry).
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prolonged sedentary positioning.
