Position Overview

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has awarded Aecon to design and build the Interstate-90 (I-90)/State Road-18 (SR-18) to Deep Creek Interchange Improvements and widening near Snoqualmie, Washington. The scope of work includes the design and construction of a four-lane diverging diamond interchange, the widening of SR-18 to four lanes from the interchange to Deep Creek, as well as the design and construction of a four-lane bridge over Deep Creek, and a two-lane bridge over Raging River.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project job costs, forecasting, revenue, and cash flows.
  • Maintain project level cost and budget utilizing company provided software including identification of cost adjustments, quantities, forecast cost to complete, and budget revisions.
  • Support subcontractor and service agreement payments.
  • Develop and facilitate payment applications to the client.
  • Assemble cost and schedule proposals for change order work.
  • Prepare and coordinate reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in project decisions regarding cost and scheduling.
  • Maintain and Update Project Schedule
  • Create and maintain contractually compliant baseline schedules and updates. 
  • Analyze schedule variance, float and trending and monitor schedule KPI’s.
  • monitor project performance and ensure that the project control system is properly implemented.
  • Assist with the set-up of project accounting systems (cost codes, job cost processing procedures, project rules of credit).
  • Assist in ensuring all the contract conditions (invoicing, reporting, change management, etc.) are applied and fulfilled for project set-up, project tracking and reporting, and project closeout.
  • Generate all required project status reports for internal management and for the customer, including the overall project Dashboard, project performance report (Earned Value, SPI, CPI, etc.).
  • Assist in the review and analysis of the project schedule and cost reports and suggest corrective actions to maintain the project within anticipated cost and schedule.
  • Assist in the creation and administration of Subcontracts and Service Agreements.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by the Project Management Team. 

 

 Required Knowledge and Experience

  • 2-4 years of civil construction experience
  • College and/or University degree in related field, OR applicable work experience
  • Applied knowledge of the “Earned Value” principles.
  • Applied knowledge of cost engineering/cost control.
  • Intermediate to expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Intermediate level knowledge of project Planning and Scheduling software, e.g. Primavera P6.
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work site environment.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees.
  • Willingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge.
  • Must be able to travel to projects, in and around Western Washington
  • Must be able to travel to Canada.
