What is the Opportunity?
Aecon’s Civil East sector is a cornerstone of our construction and infrastructure operations, delivering innovative solutions to some of the most complex and impactful projects globally. Renowned for its expertise in heavy civil construction, our Civil East sector specializes in building essential infrastructure that powers economies and enhances communities.
In the Caribbean region, we are leveraging our expertise and collaborative approach to deliver world-class infrastructure projects tailored to meet the unique needs of the island communities. We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Storekeeper to manages all materials at the site, including receiving, verifying, and storing construction materials, tools, and equipment This role will be based in Barbados.
What You'll Do Here:
- Receive product from carriers at loading dock or receiving doors.
- Inspect all shipments for damage incurred prior to receiving.
- Count all inventory on receipt to ensure accurate counts in relation to Packing Slips/BOLs.
- Count and maintain minimum inventory levels for main warehouse and storage locations
- Generate PO requests for materials, product, tools, equipment and PPE as requested by supervisors or required to maintain minimum stock levels
- Enter all received inventory into ERP system and move materials to the applicable stocking location.
- Crate, pack and prepare product and systems for shipment to branch or customer sites as applicable or for pickup by technicians for use on job sites..
- Generate all shipping documentation and arrange pickup by carrier or technicians
- Control and ensure shipment is onloaded by carrier and record shipping details.
- Control and ensure that inventory tracking procedures are followed by technicians.
- Perform ERP transactions related to inventory movement including that for Large Systems Support team.
- Audit and reconcile all inventory within the warehouse.
- Perform counter sales transactions including generation of the work order, transaction of parts, sending to billing to close and/or collect payment if required.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Post-Secondary education in Office Administration or a related discipline preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced administrative environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and able to work under pressure
- Flexibility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Computer skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Bilingual Spanish and English would be an asset
