What is the Opportunity?
Reporting to the Aecon University Program Manager, the Learning Analyst will partner closely with AU, HR, HRIS (HR Systems team), Finance and Operational teams to maintain the TMS (Training Management System), and help l ensure learning capabilities exist for current and future needs. The Learning Analyst will oversee and help evolve learning administration processes while supporting the day-to-day operations of the Learning & Development team.
What You'll Do Here:
- Drive solutions & automation for various aspects of the TMS – including facilitator contracts, billing, budgeting, planning and all downstream reporting of the TMS.
- Generate relevant dashboards/reports to provide accurate information regarding the administration, compliance and cost of training.
- Provide AU & HR management teams with all required project summary reports and analyses.
- Resolve challenges concerning the delivery of training programs between registrants, trainers, partners and external service providers
- Support the AU Finance work stream including purchase orders, invoicing, billing, vendor administration, budget tracking, and reporting.
- Develop positive, professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and service providers
- Enable the AU team and business leaders by developing dashboards, scorecards and analytics on Level 1-4 evaluation data to better evaluate the impact of learning initiatives on organizational performance and business outcomes.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support new course implementation, scheduling requirements, resource planning, and deployment activities to ensure effective delivery of individual and enterprise learning solutions and role based programs.
- Support training events through planning, budgeting, scheduling, administration, logistics coordination and deployment activities
- Provide ongoing administration and coordination support for training courses and programs, including course set-up, participant registration, communications, record maintenance, and training documentation.
- Research industry trends and learning innovations to promote Aecon’s learning culture
What You Bring to the Team:
- Post-secondary education Bachelor of Business & Technology Management, Bachelor of Science (Engineering), Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Learning & Development or a related discipline.
- Experience in data analytics tools including but not limited to advanced MS Excel, Power Query, SAP, and Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Experience in automating data flow and setting up data pipelines would be an asset (Formstack, etc.)
- Experience developing dashboards, KPI’s and analytics in support of business operational excellence.
- Proficient with MS Office 365 – MS Teams, MS Sharepoint, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Powerpoint and MS Forms.
- Experience planning and coordinating training session logistics & schedules is an asset
- Experience working with a Training Management System (or equivalent – the framework surrounding facilitator scheduling & cost management, organizational reporting, business unit budget planning & tracking, etc.)
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (Success Factors, Biz Trainer, Skillsoft etc.) is an asset
- Excellent analytical, trouble shooting, communication and collaboration skills
- Effectively respond to changing priorities & timelines and organize both short & long-term projects
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders across functions and levels of the organization.

This role follows a hybrid work model, combining in‑office collaboration and flexibility, with an expectation of three days per week in the office.

The expected salary range for this role is $80,000-$95,000 per year
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may includecertifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
