What You'll Do Here:

Collaborative Contracting Model (CCM) Playbook (PB) Development and Implementation
-
Support in planning / delivering PB milestones:
-
Accountable Business Lead (ABL)/ Subject Matter Expert (SME) weekly and monthly check-in support.
-
Status updates and steps to milestones.
-

Support UTS CCM Playbook development with documented guidelines, best practices, templates & RACI.
-
Work with content SME owners to adopt, utilize, and sustain the UTS PB program (transition from development to implementation).

Lessons Learned Program & Process:
-
Work with PB team to develop and sustain a sector lessons learned program including PDCA for Continuous Improvement.
-
Facilitating lessons learned / root cause workshops (with projects / sector) to develop improvement opportunities.
-

Embed Lessons Learned in PB (design out waste through improved PB documents/systems/processes).
-
Support ABLs/SMEs in creating content for PB documents.
-
Create net new documents (Lean for CCM) leveraging the Aecon Building Smarter program, input from current projects, and industry best practices.
-
Embed CI / Lean philosophies into existing & developing PB content.
-
Support PB Training and Project Deployment Plan.
-
Expert review / challenging of existing & developing content.
-
Develop PDCA plan to ensure ongoing viability of UTS PDB Operating Model implementation.

UTS Sector
-
UTS workstream CI improvement initiatives (HR, Finance, Commercial, IDD, Project Controls, Bids, etc) - Analyze existing work practices, identify waste, and establish productivity measures: clear, published, and tracked.
-
Develop and implement an Improvement & Innovation Program to facilitate the transition of waste walks and lessons learned into tangible solutions.
-
Develop Job / Role specific lean training standards.
-
Provide lean training and development for staff.
-
Develop a communication plan & rollout schedule, with support of the UTS Comms team, for required lean training, and usage, on current and future projects.
-
Work with project teams to improve cross project operations and dissemination of opportunities for improvement.
-
Integrate lean organizational and operating system methods in preconstruction services including proposal development, validation and scoping, partner development and alignment.
-
Develop and update Lean Project Development Plan (LPDP) – a structured approach to ensure cohesive lean deployment on projects.
-
Sector workstream planning (LPS).
-
Coordinate and facilitate Corporate Waste Walk Challenges.
-
Roll-out new corporate lean initiatives to projects.
-
Work with Project CI Managers to implement, monitor, and improve the LPDP.

Project Support:
-
Develop and support high-performing teams with activities such as project setup, validation, lessons learned, and planning.
-
Lead the project CI team in development and deployment of a project wide lean strategy that emphasizes a collaborative and best for project approach.
-
Perform workplace assessments and time studies to streamline processes and improve productivity within the project.
-
Facilitate implementation of Last Planner System®.
-
Collaborate with Aecon Corporate CI team on lessons learned initiatives and processes.
-
Sector tie-ins to WW challenges through regular project-based WWs.
-
Coach, mentor, and support lean thinking and behaviors to promote a culture of CI.
-
What You Bring to The Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field required.
- 5+ years’ experience in lean construction, lean-based tools and application of tools in a Construction/project delivery environment.
- 7-10 years collective experience in related field, including project execution and general coordination.
- Urban Transportation industry experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated, proven track record of deploying lean methods including the Last Planner System® required.
- Experience in a large, complex projects, capital projects, or Joint Ventures with multiple interfaces required.
- Associated General Contractor Lean-CM Certification preferred.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
- LCI-CPC Certified Construction Practitioner or LCI-CPD Certified Design Practitioner preferred.

The expected pay range for this role is $120,000 - $160,000 per year
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may inclulde certificiations, specialist training, and the complexity or scope of the role
