What is the Opportunity?
As the Data Engineer, you will be responsible to identify and meet data requirements, design and build efficient data architecture and data pipelines. If you have a passion for working with data and want hands-on experience with technologies like Python, PySpark, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure, this is a great opportunity to build your skills in a supportive environment.
What You'll Do Here:
- Assist in developing and maintaining data pipelines using Python and PySpark
- Learn and apply Databricks for processing and transforming data
- Support data engineering efforts on the Azure Data Platform (including Azure Synapse, Data Lake, and other services)
- Help troubleshoot and optimize data workflows for efficiency and performance
- Collaborate with teams to ensure data solutions align with business needs
What You Bring to the Team:
- Education in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in Data Engineering or similar type of role
- Basic experience with Python
- Familiarity with SQL for data manipulation and querying
- Exposure to big data concepts (structured and unstructured data)
- Willingness to learn Azure tools like Databricks, Synapse, and Data Factory
- Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to grow in data engineering
- Some hands-on experience with PySpark or Databricks
- Understanding of cloud-based data platforms, especially in Azure
- Interest in data visualization tools like Power BI
