Position Overview
Aecon is currently seeking an EHS Administrator to join the EHS department based out of Toronto, ON. Under the supervision and direction of the Vice President of Safety, the EHS Administrator will work closely with the EHS team to perform a variety of administrative tasks, with a primary focus on training data entry within the 
Cority implementation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer the EHS Program
  • Promote the highest level of safety 
  • Provide direction and support for managers, supervisors, sub-contractors regarding their responsibilities for maintaining a positive and inclusive safety culture
  • Have a good working knowledge of Occupational Health (OHSA) and Safety legislation
  • Conduct workplace safety audits
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Relevant Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience in the Health and Safety field
  • Knowledge of the Occupation Health and Safety Act (“OHSA”)
  • Familiar with Construction Terminology
  • Ability to effectively communicate with tact and diplomacy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Resourceful, organized and understands the principles of Health and Safety Management
  • Ability to identify problems or issues and generate solutions, resolve conflicts and make sound decisions
  • Adaptable and flexible to an ever-changing environment
