HR Systems Coordinator

Position Overview

Reporting to the Director, HR Systems & Process, this role will join Aecon’s Organizational Development Team and work primarily within the SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS), in support of the training needs of Aecon’s Safety Team. The HR Systems Coordinator will work closely with the Aecon University (AU) Learning team and Training Coordinators to ensure that course content, training schedules and assignments, reporting needs and system workflows are accurate, up to date and readily available.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the roadmap for Safety training at Aecon and participate in defining processes to ensure we always have accurate, up to date data within the SuccessFactors LMS
  • Partner with Aecon’s Safety learning teams to provide support with LMS admin procedures, new admin training and troubleshooting as needed
  • Engage with the AU Learning Coordinators to build and maintain the Aecon Safety Learning Schedule in the LMS through appropriate course setup, assignment profiles and offerings which is followed by ensuring completions are recorded
  • Work within current defined Learning and LMS processes, while identifying potential areas for improvement
  • Monitor the ticketing system and inbox to quickly triage and provide timely updates about requests
  • Support Learning and Systems projects through supporting administration, logistics, testing, training and deployment
  • Manage and execute requests for reports/dashboards, through developing a thorough understanding of reporting within SuccessFactors and the reporting needs of our Safety team
  • Research industry trends and learning innovations to promote Aecon’s safety and learning culture  


Required Knowledge and Skills

  • 2-3 years’ experience working within SuccessFactors Learning Management System
  • Experience with reporting tools to create ad-hoc reporting and dashboards
  • Comfortable working within existing process while being proactive about identifying improvements
  • Ability to plan, manage, and prioritize multiple, concurrent assignments and tasks
  • Proactive about system maintenance, tracking, testing and troubleshooting
  • Ability to create and maintain process documentation
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Technical proficiency requirements
    • Familiarity with SuccessFactors or similar HRIS/LMS tool
    • Advanced skills using Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
    • Familiarity with Office365
