What is the Opportunity?

The HR Systems Specialist is responsible for supporting and enhancing Aecon’s SuccessFactors HRIS program and overall HR Technology initiatives. This role focuses on configuration, testing, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement of HR systems. The Specialist will work closely with stakeholders to recognize business needs, coordinate projects, and deliver effective HR technology solutions. Please note, this position is a 5 month contract opportunity. 

 

What You'll Do Here:

Requirements Gathering & Documentation

  • Lead and participate in requirements gathering sessions for HR system needs.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to gather information, define processes, and develop communication, change management, and roll-out plans.
  • Prepare and share configuration documents, meeting notes, and testing plans with stakeholders.
  • Creatively design and develop content for selected delivery methods.

 

System Configuration & Testing

  • Configure and test various  SuccessFactors modules.
  • Conduct UAT testing for all implementation and enhancement requests.
  • Coordinate movement of configuration changes from QA to PROD, collaborating with IS teams or performing changes independently.

 

Data Management & Reporting

  • Collaborate on data clean-up and reporting initiatives to support organizational structure and compliance.
  • Perform advanced research and data analysis, drawing insights and making effective recommendations.

 

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Engage and collaborate with business units when new projects or requests arise.
  • Gather feedback to ensure programs and tools evolve to meet business needs.
  • Provide updates and recommendations during team calls and project meetings.

 

Issue Resolution & Support

  • Respond to system-related inquiries and troubleshoot configuration issues.
  • Provide support for HRIS platform and overall HR Technology program.
  • Additional duties may be assigned to address evolving project requirements and ensure continued support for organizational objectives.

 

What You Bring to The Team:

  • 1-5 years of technical experience with SAP SuccessFactors.
  • In depth configuration experience with at least 2 SuccessFactors modules (RCM, RMK, LMS, EC, ONB, PMGM).
  • Successfully completed at least 1 full end-to-end module implementation.
  • Experience coordinating projects and gathering business requirements.
  • Confident presentation and communication abilities.
  • Experience and willingness to work in a large, complex environment with shifting priorities.
  • Highly resilient, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and able to calmly navigate change.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with a passion for customer service.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and storytelling skills; able to manipulate, summarize, and interpret data for non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information.
