Position Title:  Learning Experience Designer (12 months contract)

Position Overview

As part of the Learning & Development team and reporting to the Director, Learning, the Learning Experience Designer will partner with the business to identify learning gaps and create solutions that will enable meaningful operational results.


Key Responsibilities

1. Leverage subject matter experts to determine relevant learning objectives, determine best-fit delivery methods, and build meaningful and creative solutions for internal clients

2. Organize and maintain project planning for all project task and stakeholders

3. Facilitate train the trainer sessions to prepare instructors and project stakeholders

4. Evaluate project success of solutions during and post-go live

5. Deep collaboration with peers to elevate overall learning project impact

6. Focus on continuous improvement through providing and accepting feedback on all deliverables and proactively analyzing procedures and solutions for future refinement


Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Demonstrate at a senior level, individual experience in adult learning principles, design techniques, and innovative learning solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in hands-on design and development of blended learning solutions (i.e., instructor-led, e-learning, virtual-learning, support resources)
  • Portfolio of samples of eLearning development using Articulate StoryLine
  • Experience in the construction industry/EHS is an asset
  • Technical proficiency requirements
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Adobe Connect experience is an asset
  • Technically savvy
