What is the Opportunity?
As the MS Fabric Administrator, you will lead the management, governance, and optimization of our enterprise data platform. In this role, you will oversee Fabric tenants, capacities, and security configurations while supporting end‑to‑end data operations across the organization. You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to enable efficient data product development, ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards, and maintain a secure, scalable, and high‑performing analytics environment. This position is ideal for a technically strong, detail‑oriented professional with deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure data ecosystems, and modern data governance practices.
What You’ll Do Here:
- Administer and manage Microsoft Fabric tenants, capacities, and workspaces, including the full ecosystem of OneLake, Lakehouses, Warehouses, Notebooks, Pipelines, and Dataflows.
- Configure and maintain security settings, data access, and governance policies such as sensitivity labels, data‑loss prevention, and workspace standards.
- Implement and enhance role‑based access controls (RBAC), ensuring alignment with least‑privilege access models and organizational security practices.
- Oversee and optimize Fabric capacity utilization (F‑SKU, P‑SKU, etc.), monitoring system performance, memory usage, and error logs to ensure platform reliability.
- Manage and support data pipelines, Lakehouses, and Warehouses to meet enterprise data engineering and analytics needs.
- Monitor data refresh processes, performance metrics, and platform health to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, security teams, and business stakeholders to support data product development and ensure end‑to‑end workflow efficiency.
- Enforce best‑practice naming conventions, workspace governance strategies, and lifecycle management across business domains.
- Ensure compliance with internal data policies, residency requirements, and external regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Provide user support, training, documentation, and guidance on best practices within Microsoft Fabric and related tools.
- Stay current with Microsoft Fabric roadmap updates, communicating impacts and opportunities to team leads and stakeholders.
- Perform regular audits of user access, security configurations, and memory utilization to recommend and implement platform security and optimization improvements.
- Manage Power BI tenant settings, security groups, workspace permissions, and integration with Fabric governance processes.
- Support DevOps and CI/CD workflows for Fabric‑related development, including deployment automation across environments.
What You Bring to the Team:
- University Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience with a strong technical foundation in:
- Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure Synapse, and related data platform technologies.
- Data governance tooling such as Microsoft Purview for cataloging, lineage, and compliance.
- Microsoft Entra ID, including security groups, identity governance, and integration with Microsoft 365 compliance tools.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Upgrading and integrating enterprise systems, applications, and cloud technologies.
- Conducting root‑cause analysis, debugging platform-level issues, and optimizing data workflows.
- Delivering secure applications for internal and external users, with strong adherence to security guidelines.
- Implementing system migrations, platform modernization initiatives, and ongoing operational maintenance.
- Working closely with business stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Strong hands‑on experience with development languages and data technologies such as DAX, T‑SQL, or Python in an enterprise data platform context.
- Knowledge of SDLC processes, modern software development methodologies, and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline design and deployment automation.
- Certification related to Microsoft data, analytics, or development technologies is considered an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and analytical skills with an ability to diagnose complex system issues.
- Solid understanding of application and data security best practices.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $90,000-$105,000
