What is the Opportunity?

 

Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Construction Supervisor is responsible for leading the safe and effective execution of construction activities within their assigned scope. The role oversees day‑to‑day field operations, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with contractual, regulatory, and quality requirements. Working closely with project leadership and site function leads, the Supervisor coordinates Administration, Engineering, and Construction efforts to maintain workflow, resolve issues, and support seamless project delivery.

 

The individual represents the company on site through professional interaction with clients, subcontractors, union representatives, and regulatory bodies, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project needs. The Supervisor also supports planning and scheduling by developing detailed construction and look‑ahead plans, monitoring progress, and implementing corrective actions as needed. A key contributor to project culture and team performance, the Supervisor fosters a safe, compliant, and collaborative work environment while upholding company policies, maintaining documentation, and contributing to risk identification and change management processes

 

What You'll Do Here:

 

  • Implement and monitor Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and plans.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee project execution to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and take corrective action when required.
  • Coordinate Administration, Engineering, and Construction activities.
  • Represent the company professionally in routine client interactions and updates.
  • Ensure contracts remain current, including timely processing of change orders.
  • Ensure full compliance with local legislative, company, and project requirements.
  • Maintain positive project culture through regular engagement and team support.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, unions, and regulatory bodies to support uninterrupted work.
  • Review and approve cost reports, ensuring accurate profit projections.
  • Collaborate with PMO, Quality, Design, Project Controls, and site leads during handover and setup.
  • Develop detailed construction schedules aligned with the overall project plan.
  • Maintain strong understanding of project scope and contracted obligations.
  • Identify risks, support mitigation planning, and implement solutions when needed.
  • Identify out‑of‑scope requests, raise change issues to PMO, and implement updates to schedule, materials, or subcontracting.
  • Prepare detailed look‑ahead schedules and ensure staffing and materials meet upcoming needs.

 

What You Bring to the Team:

 

  • Technical school background or a minimum of five years’ construction experience.
  • Basic computer skills, preferably in Word and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with experience managing teams on a construction site.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work for self and others in a complex environment.
  • High level of professionalism in interactions with all stakeholders.
  • Commitment to safety, integrity, transparency, and sound decision‑making.
  • Demonstrated managerial courage and ability to build high‑performing teams.
  • Strong critical thinking, adaptive thinking, and strategic orientation.

 

Salary: The expected salary for this position is $71.00 - $92.00 per hour.

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience and unique skills.
