What is the Opportunity? 

The Hayter Group is an independent and wholly owned subsidiary of Aecon Group Inc, bringing energy solutions to residential and commercial customers in Ontario. This includes a wide range of green technologies and solutions such solar, battery storage, EV, geothermal, heat pump products for both new build and retrofit homes and commercial properties.

 

Reporting to the Project Supervisor, the Project Coordinator will be supporting our electric vehicle (EV) program for the installation of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) for our customers from inception through completion.

 

What You'll Do Here:

Program Management

  • Overseeing administrative aspects of programs, which include a portfolio of projects. This can include elements across strategy, design & engineering, and construction activities.
  • Oversee the growth of the program through such activities as the development of innovative program design solutions.
  • Reviews and understands bid and tender documents, contracts and service agreements and ensures project compliance with such governing documents.

 

Performance

  • Ensuring portfolio programs have key milestones established to advance performance and metric reporting, and monitoring performance against such roadmaps and/or priority projects list and achievement of key milestones.
  • Monitor, analyze, report, and visualize on program performance. Drive overall direction, management, momentum, and competition of portfolio deliverables.
  • Works with the key project individual to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.

 

Reporting

  • Works with Project Managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans. Develops client and internal reports on cost, deliverable, and schedule milestones.
  • These should include elements of program design, client engagement, budget, and timely and accurate reporting and deliverables.
  • Assist with company-related reporting needs.

 

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Knowledge of project construction management including, budgeting, proposals, scheduling, subcontractor contract management, project documentation.
  • 2-5 years of experience Project Coordination experience is considered and asset
  • Post-Secondary Education in Electrical Engineering or all other equivalent programs
  • Ability to read blueprints, electrical single line diagrams, specs, etc.
  • General working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, MS Project, Procore (or similar scheduling software).
  • Customer and project management
  • Excellent communication/problem-solving skills.
  • Manage and develop good working relationships with subcontractors.
  • Ability and drive to deliver quality services on time and under budget.
  • Valid drivers license required
  • Travel across Canada will be required
