What is the Opportunity?
Aecon is seeking a Project Manager with Civil Infrastructure experience to join the Urban Transportations Solutions group to support the ONxpress GO Rail Expansion project. What You Will Do Here:

Accountable for ensuring all construction project management activities are successfully executed.

Establish and maintain project budget.

Enforce change procedures.
-
Establish schedule and staffing plans.

Negotiate and execute contracts and agreements in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Chair project management meetings with a focus on the best outcomes for Aecon.

Ensure all project reporting is accurate and timely.

Oversee testing, quality, and safety.

Manage client and vendor relationship.

Ensure project risks and issues are logged and managed.
-
Ensure all project close-out activities are completed in a timely manner.

Demonstrate commercial acumen to protect profits and improve margins.

Business development, including participation in costing and estimating activities and risk analysis.

Financial forecasting and contributing to creation of revenue targets.

Oversee procurement including materials and subcontractors.

What You Will Bring to The Team:

Post secondary education in engineering, construction management or equivalent discipline.

Knowledge and/or experience of the rail industry is preferred.

Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in civils construction, track, buildings, Utilities, M&E, or related disciplines is required.

General knowledge of non-residential construction methods, building systems, and terminology.

Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines for normal functions and special assignments.

Proficient use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access) is essential, experience of using estimating software is preferred.

Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Skilled at building positive working relationships with internal and external clients.

Good listening and communication skills.
