What You’ll Do Here:

 

  • Lead the AUE GIS team
  • You will play a pivotal role in the growth of the GIS division in the US and Canada. You'll be aiding the Senior Manager with helping and growing the company’s current and future client and partner base by developing strong relationships. 
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities. 
  • Oversee staff, including direct supervision of staff.
  • Review weekly productivities, and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Review invoicing to ensure accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Attend to customer concerns regarding delivery, quality, or other issues.
  • Prepare estimates associated with engineering scope of work. 
  • Forecast project workload and ensure proper staffing is in place.
  • Accountable for project deliverables and financial performance. 
  • Ensure that the AUE Geomatics division meets all customer stated KPI’s, (permit turn around, % conf. grant) 
  • Train and mentor staff on how to resolve issues, provide direction as to contacts and approaches.
  • Ensure preparation and submission of project documents, as specified by contract, to the client.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior staff. 

 

What you bring to the Team:

 

  • Highly motivated individual that demonstrates initiative, ambition, charisma, diligence, and articulateness. 
  • Exceptional communication and relationship building skills. 
  • Self-motivated, comfortable working independently and a desire to learn quickly and take risks. 
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the utility engineering/construction industry.
  • Experience in Lidar data extraction, background in Geographic Information Systems. 
  • Basic experience working with ESRI and other Geospatial Software.
  • Knowledge of Utility infrastructure and plan reading.
  • Advanced computer skills with a variety of software, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, MS Access, TopaDOT, AutoCAD.
  • Advanced knowledge of GIS geoprocessing tools, problem solving, and sharing project data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated effective decision-making skills while under limited supervision.
  • Willingness to learn and advance GIS and relevant skillsets.
  • Be a GIS liaison between various project teams, teaching users the capabilities of GIS.
  • Proven people and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Excellent safety and attendance record and previously demonstrated strong safety awareness.
