Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Network X, Team Lead will be responsible for supervising all facets of overhead and underground telecommunication digitization for our existing and perspective Utility clients.

 

  • Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
  • Oversee Staff working on Network X digitization, including direct supervision of staff.
  • Ability to draw and resolve technical issues in Network X
  • Responsible for quality of Network X team, and quality checking of team members or subcontractors work.
  • Attend weekly calls
  • Review weekly productivities, and implement corrective actions as required
  • Review invoicing to ensure accuracy, and timeliness
  • Attend to customer concerns regarding delivery, quality, or other issues
  • Monitor and document project changes, prepare change orders where required.
  • Prepare estimates associated with engineering scope of work.
  • Forecast project workload and ensure proper staffing is in place
  • Accountable for project deliverables and financial performance.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through high quality project delivery
  • Ensure AUE meets all customer stated KPI’s, (permit turn around, % conf. grant)
  • Train and mentor staff on how to resolve issues, provide direction as to contacts and approaches
  • Ensure preparation and submission of project documents, as specified by contract, to the client.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations as required.
  • Responsible for implementing and monitoring of the Company’s Safety Policy at the project location.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior staff.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • 2-3 years’ work experience within Network X team,
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role within the utility engineering/construction industry
  • 2-3 years’ experience in Telecommunication design
  • 2-3 years’ experience with and knowledge of Network X, relevant design and drafting standards
  • Advanced computer skills with a variety of software, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, MS Access
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, ability to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities and work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated effective decision-making skills while under limited supervision
  • Understanding of current best-practice project management techniques
  • Excellent safety and attendance record and previously demonstrated strong safety awareness
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proven people and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in doing RFP’s, RFI’s, along with full execution of lump sum bidding requirements

 

Compensation and Benefits

  • $60,000 to $65,000 annually
  • Work 37.5 hours/week
