What Is The Opportunity

Aecon's Concession team is proactively seeking a Project Manager to support future dynamic P3 Projects in Canada nad Internationally. This starts with bringing aboard the best possible team!

As a Project Manager you will be accountable for ensuring all construction project management activities are successfully executed. We are looking for Project Managers who are experienced in:

• P3 Projects
• Airports

Key Responsibilities:

Working with Aecon Concession's O&M Team, the successful candiate will support in project oversight and bid development, including: 

• Develop strategies and business models for international projects
• Ability to assess technical problems and develop solutions  
• Develop client communications and reports
• Development/tracking of bid schedule/budget
• Support with reports and oversight of current project under operations
• Support in review client requirements and compliance checks with RFP documents/coordination of checks with consortiums workstreams
• Co-ordinate the collation and issue of RFI’s
• Support in development of estimates for O&M
• Attend and lead certain bid meetings and workstreams to ensure bid progression (including preparation of meeting minutes and follow up actions)
• Support technical review of DB design concepts and ensure compliance with client requirements. (as above comment re compliance)
• Ensuring the internal share point site is up to date and notifying the team of new upload
• Support development and management of bid schedule and deliverables 
• Ability to travel internationally as required
• Interact directly with clients and internal stakeholders
• Establishes construction infrastructure and critical path.
• Manages client and vendor relationship.

    
Education & Qualifications: 

• Engineering background preferred.
• 6-7 years, with preferred Airport experience – understanding of airport operations and maintenance, design requirements, operations.  
• proficiency in Microsoft tools including word, powerpoint, excel and ms project. 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Understanding of project cost and schedule management.
• Ability to work in fast paced environments. 
• Ability to work on multiple projects and bids.

Necessary Competencies 

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong and proven management skills including coaching, influence, negotiation, and conflict resolution
• Highly motivated, and results oriented with an ability to handle high pressure situations with key stakeholders
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, and an ability to present complex information in a manner suitable for technical and non-technical audiences.
