Pacific Electrical Installations Ltd. has been in business since 1977. With over four decades of experience serving Western Canada, Pacific Electrical Installations (PEI) provides maintenance, construction, emergency response, and live line restoration services for critical electrical infrastructure. PEI is the designated powerline service provider to BC Hydro for the Lower Mainland South and Okanagan regions, working alongside local BC Hydro crews to support transmission and distribution systems—including trouble response, maintenance, system improvements, end-of-life asset replacement, and customer-driven construction programs.
PEI also supports FortisBC, municipalities, and private-sector customers across mining, forestry, telecommunications, and private development.
We are hiring experienced Traffic Control Persons (TCP)
Location: Abbotsford, BC
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a TCP
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and your own reliable vehicle (sites are not transit friendly)
- A valid BC Traffic Control Person (TCP) ticket from BCCSA is required
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand and work for long hours 8-10hrs Monday - Friday
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to provide reliable schedule availability.
- Provide clear traffic control directions and signals so motorists and pedestrians understand their meaning
- Conduct traffic control at worksites within the scope of training and experience to protect workers, the public, and employees
- Good communication skills
- Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Occasional out of town work may be required
Licence/Certification
- Valid Class 5 licence (required)
- Current TCP certificate (required)
- Driver’s abstract
Salary Range: $21 -$27 per hour.
