The Technical Specialist, will report directly to the Site Manager and will play a key role in providing leadership in supervising and advising the Condenser Replacement project at North Anna assisting in the project management and coordination of schedules, customer relations, engineering, and procurement. Risk analysis: project forecasting, liaising with client and subcontractors are daily occurrences in this role. The Technical Specialist, coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration requirements within the scope of a specified project.
What You'll Do Here
- Carries out detailed constructability reviews to develop the project schedule, manpower and procurement requirements
- Develops and maintains the project schedule and budget for the engineering and construction segments of the project
- Provides status report of project milestones and adjustment to schedules
- Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and milestones
- Reviews company standards, customer contract requirements and related specifications to ensure project compliance
- Coordinates activities relating to scheduling and resolving construction issues through the use of problem solving techniques and provides advice for possible field solutions.
- Interfaces with customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are met
- Provides status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management
- Provides technical specification, and incorporation of site procedure and requirements into execution plan
- Active involvement in quality assurance with regards to understating and implementing policies and procedures.
- Schedule optimization to validate resource availability, tagging, work windows, pinch points, and critical path management.
- Performs such other duties and responsibilities as assigned by his/her supervisor/manager
What You Bring To The Team
- 10 years’ experience in Nuclear Power Planter Operation and/or Maintenance
- 5 years Nuclear Outage Support Managment
- Advanced Skills using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Primavera
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Various work locations in both field and office
- Travel as necessary
- Radiological environments
- Work in respirator and plastics (as required)
- Work at heights (as required)
