Contracts Cost Control Administrator

Aecon is currently seeking a Contracts Cost Control Administrator to join the Finch West LRT Project- a transformative transit infrastructure system for the Toronto Area.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, update, receive, and coordinate subcontractors’ monthly Payment Progress Certificates (PPC’s) to ensure compliance with contract terms.
  • Obtain approvals of the submitted draft PPC’s.
  • Determine the discrepancies between the submitted PPC’s and the executed contracts/approved Change Orders, and work with the Project Manager(s) to investigate.
  • Work closely with the contracts department to obtain executed Change Orders so that those are added to the subcontractors PPC’s.
  • Work thoroughly with the cost control department to ensure accurate cost coding on the PPC’s and to make sure to follow the process already in place.
  • Maintain and update the master accrual file.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as required.
  • Process subcontract PPC’s with Project Manager(s) approval by forwarding to the vendors and Accounts Payable.
  • Answer any supplier inquiries.
  • Monitor and control subcontract documentation as required
  • Process subcontractor PPC’s by making comparisons to subcontract order and various other payment criteria.
  • Additional duties as required.


Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Entry level role; no experience required
  • Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work as a member of a team, as well as independently, with minimum supervision.
  • Must have the ability to handle all matters in a confidential and professional manner.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time with excellent follow-up skills
  • Must be detail oriented, with excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills.
