What is the Opportunity?
As a Senior Project Accountant reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in supporting project-level financial reporting, external stakeholder reporting requirements, and strong internal controls across Concessions projects.
You will manage full-cycle accounting activities, support audits and client/partner inquiries, and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
What You’ll Do Here:
- Prepare monthly financial statements and support schedules.
- Manage full accounting cycle for various ongoing projects, including individual reporting requirements to various partners.
- Prepare invoices and related support documentation to send to external stakeholders.
- Preparation of monthly financial reports.
- Posting of monthly vendor invoices to Account Payable and setting up wire transfers through online banking.
- Update and maintain financial model monthly and as needed.
- Coordinate and support financial audits, ensuring internal audit controls and recommendations are implemented.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and support financial planning activities.
- Prepare financial budget and track budget monthly.
- Ensure SAP transactions are recorded accurately and on a timely basis, with appropriate backup and documentation.
- Coordinate and post accruals, ensuring proper justification and supporting documentation.
- Review general ledger balances and prepare continuity schedules as required.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and profit & loss reconciliations.
- Respond to inquiries from partner and internal finance teams.
- Support the development and enhancement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Project Controls, Procurement, and Clients, to provide financial support.
- Take on additional responsibilities as business and project requirements evolve.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting. CPA designation required.
- 5+ years of progressive, full-cycle accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated success collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen with an end-to-end, solutions-oriented mindset.
- High level of discretion when handling confidential information.
- Ability to work with urgency, adapt to changing priorities, and navigate ambiguity.
- SAP experience is an asset.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $80,000 - $95,000 per year
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
